1st Line Helpdesk Analyst - Permanent - Dorking We are looking for two IT Helpdesk Engineers with a broad knowledge and skills in various small business applications and current platforms based in Dorking, Surrey offering a permanent package of between £18k-£25k + benefits (Depending upon experience and level) One of the two Analysts can/will be a less experienced individual/IT graduate looking for an entry into IT in a fantastic company. You will still need to prove you can cope with the customer facing and technical requirement of the role from day 1.To be considered you must live within 1 hour commute of Dorking Office (RH4.) As part of the Technical Support Team you will have responsibility for the following: Troubleshooting IT issues and handling service requests by telephone, email, remote access and occasional on-site visits. Proactive monitoring of systems using a variety of tools. Helping to improve company systems, procedures and knowledge. System builds, configuration and installation (remote or on-site). Pro-active maintenance of backup, anti-virus and software and hardware updates for client networks while giving excellent customer service. Diligent documentation and time-keeping. Potential for involvement in solution design and project implementation in consultation with clients and colleagues. Participating in the out of hours standby rota. We are looking for someone with the following: Some experience in an IT client-facing support role Experience working for a fast-paced IT service provider servicing multiple clients Excellent customer service skills, particularly with external clients Excellent attention to detail Ability to multi task whilst delivering a first-class customer experience, A logical thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (by phone, email and face to face) High attention to detail Someone who enjoys working in a team and sharing knowledge Handling technical and hierarchal escalations Troubleshooting skills across all IT platforms Ideally you will have some of the following technical skills: Working knowledge of Autotask Knowledge of Apple products Experience with Cloud/hybrid computing such as Office 365 Virtualisation solutions - VMWare or/and Hyper-V Internet Domain/DNS management and troubleshooting. VoIP/telephone support Microsoft Workstation operating system support Computer hardware and peripheral knowledge Mobile device set up and configuration Networking - TCP/IP, WAN, VLANs, VPNs, Firewalls, Routers. Server Operating Systems - 2008/2012. Exchange Server 2010/2013.
