Accounting and Analysis Financial Control - Financial Services - Canary WharfOur client, an international bank, is looking to recruit for an Accounting and Analysis Financial Control professional to assist with operational accounting, group and external financial reporting as well as regulatory reporting. This responsibility includes the accurate financial reporting (month end, external reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), annual stats, VAT, but also the support in the implementation of new systems and other IFRS related changes as well as helping the more senior members of the staff to get the books closed at month end and the Balance Sheet (BS) reconciled and substantiated. Our client will help to support completion of qualifications for successful part qualified candidates.Location: Canary Wharf Salary: £30,000- £40,000Responsibilities:Assist in the oversight of financial Control and Financial Reporting processing including overseeing the producing analysis and review of the monthly and quarterly results of the company, and all related returns including: preparation of accounting and financial reporting deliverables and review of outputs coming from the offshore team, support in the monthly Profit & Loss (PL) and BS review and preparation of the variance analysis, liaise with business to ensure accounting reflect accurately and timely business developments, support in process improvements, ensure all internal and external reporting deadlines are met.Key contact for stakeholders (Business Finance, Group Finance, Offshore centres)Pro-active in issue resolution and engaging with other parts of the groupCommitment to achieving team objectives Pro-active approach to process improvement.Continually reassess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.Implement the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant compliance department.
