In this period of significant growth Charles Taylor is looking for a Business Intelligence technical team lead, who will be responsible for leading the technical delivery for customers, both internal and external. You will play a key role in managing the day-to-day technical activities of the BI & Analytics team - onshore and offshore. You will liaise with senior stakeholders in articulating target solutions, delivery roadmap, and embedding best practices for architecture and development of agreed solutions. The technical lead manager has primary responsibility for setting the technical strategy working alongside the Director of BI & Analytics to manage the wider team, from both a tactical and long term perspective, driving technical innovation of both the existing estate as well as future propositions. Key Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining contact with significant customers and for maintaining client satisfaction on all projects Develop existing engagement opportunities, and support in developing new clients, and establishing relationships within the business community Manage a team of data warehousing, ETL developers to devise and deliver Business Intelligence and data analytics products Maintain responsibility for the profitability of client related work within your portfolio as well as managing the profitability of these portfolios. Support the director in all strategic, tactical, operational, financial, human, and technical resource managerial responsibilities. Establish and execute a vision for the delivery of information and analytics platforms and solutions to the business's key stakeholders, including, internal staff, partners and clients Responsible for helping transform the company into a business that truly differentiates and competes on analytics. Define, architect and build complex large scale Real Time data processing platforms Oversee the design, delivery, and governance of the core data warehouse. Required skills Bachelor's degree, MBA or other post-graduate degree is a plus Experience managing large (global) complex BI projects and teams; strong project management and client relationship skills Proven ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develops and execute strategies, and track and measure results. Strong mix of business and technical acumen, with business process knowledge Excellent leadership, interpersonal, mentoring, people development and team building skills Advanced listening skills and written and verbal communications Extensive experience interacting with business stakeholders Proven ability to build and motivate a team to achieve well communicated expectations. Proven skills to work effectively across internal functional areas in ambiguous situations Prior consulting experience and technical pre-sales POC/prototyping experience Strong experience with BI and reporting tools - BOBJ, Oracle, Qlik, SSRS/PowerBI Strong experience of Relational Data Warehousing (Kimball/Star Schema) Design and Build Working knowledge of working with RDBMS (SQL Server/Oracle) Knowledge of Enterprise ETL and other Data Integration/Blending/Wrangling tools Experience with open source software platforms and languages a bonus (Linux, Java, Apache, Python, PH) Experience of working with non-relational data stores(OLAP, multi-dimensional, SSAS, HANA) Any big data experience is a bonus (Hadoop,HBASE, NoSQL, Spark) The ideal candidate will have a strong technology background who understands the fundamentals of Business Intelligence, Data Management and Analytics and can apply these to a number of different types of projects. This candidate should be able to work in a dynamic environment, interacting with both key business stakeholders, and will be able to work within a team. The Business Intelligence and Analytics practice covers a wide range of areas, including Data Integration, Data Warehousing, Enterprise reporting, Analytics point solutions, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Meta Data Management, and many other control areas required for ensuring that we get the right data to the right at the right time in the right format for our clients.
