Reeson Education is working with a fantastic community school in Hammersmith and Fulham, who are looking for Key Stage Two (KS2) Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join them from September 2017. The role will be full time and will be based Year 4, Key Stage Two. Main Purpose of the role To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils achievement, progress and development. Responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school which could include addressing the needs of pupil who need particular help to overcome barriers of learning. Management of other teaching assistants including allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal and training. About the school Our client school is located in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, set within the popular location of Fulham. The school is an Good Ofsted rated school and pupils results are well above national average. The school offers a planned and challenging education which enhances the student's emotional, intellectual and physical development. The great relationships created with both parents and teachers alike, allows the school to produce a very positive and fun atmosphere to work within. The school is serviced by three underground stations, a short walk away and there is also a car park for staff wishing to drive each day. What we are looking for The school is looking for an energetic and confident candidate that has previous experience working within early years ideally within a school setting. Applicants must have strong literacy and numeracy skills and be able to confidently cover the whole class when needed. We are happy to accept applicants from teaching assistants with a Level 3 NVQ (Plus relevant experience), HLTA's, graduates (ideally with experience) and qualified teachers. Salaries will be dependent on experience, however the school will be offering inner London weighting.
