Java Developer - Quantitative DeveloperTop 10 Hedge Fund - based in the West End of LondonThe Quantitative Developer position has been newly created in the trading team for Quantitative Development. The team consists of seven core members who work specifically on developing analytics tools to support the trading activities of the trading team.The Quantitative Developer will be working on projects to enhance the team's data collection processes, pricing and risk engines.The London based Global Hedge Fund are looking for an individual to take the responsibility of the development and implementation of analytics, pricing and risk engines as well as developing GUIs.You will be liaising with stakeholders at all levels to ensure full understanding of model design and usage across the trading team.As Quantitative Developer, it will be your responsibility to develop and support analytics tools and support propriety analytics software which is written in Java.You will ensure that there is consistency with all engine related work and work alongside your team collaboratively to ensure a high level of service to the trading team.The Quantitative Developer must be able to demonstrate prior experience of core Java development and graduated to degree level in a quantitative discipline.You must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to translate research and complex concepts in to actionable deliverable with practical implications.This progressive opportunity will allow you to use and enhance your Java development skills and will suit an individual who is ambitious and who wants to progress their career in a top tier institution surrounded by likeminded individuals.You will be suitable for this role if you have:Experience in Java development (Other coding skills beneficial)Quantitative Degree1-5 years' experience (ideally from financial services with opportunity to develop commercial acumen)If you are interested in and would like to hear more.
