The Secondary School This Secondary School is a high achieving School, not just academically with fantastic GCSE and A-Level grades each year (75% above national average in Maths, English & Science), but also socially by nurturing and ensuring proactive and productive learning takes place. With brilliant schemes set in place to ensure that Teaching Staff are providing high calibre teaching the School provides a very "open door" policy between themselves and parents/guardians. The School is a long standing Client of Academics and a School that we have successfully placed Graduates into Support roles - LSA. Of these Graduates, we have had brilliant feedback with Graduates explaining how they School has bettered their experience and knowledge before they begin their teacher training this September. The Graduate LSA role A Graduate is sought to work across multiple subjects supporting children who require additional assistance during their classes. This could be pupils with SEN who will need a Graduate to ensure they are working on task, to the best of their ability and they are supported sufficiently. Working across KS3 and KS4 students will require a Graduate with previous experience working with this age group. Confidence and an outgoing personality is something that the School seeks as they will need to act as authoritative figure ensuring students are learning to the best of their ability. Graduate requirements To be considered a Graduate must hold a minimum of an Undergraduate Degree. Also holding a grade C or above in Maths, English and Science at GCSE and A-level would be a bonus! As previously stated previous experience working with children at Secondary level (paid or voluntary) is a must and Graduates without experience will not be considered. Experience specifically within a School would be a huge bonus as would be experience with SEN! A Graduate who eager to gain further experience in a School setting before working with children in the future is desirable.
