Music TA Specialist Music TA London borough of Southwark Good Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) - OfSTED September Start £80 - £100 per day - dependent on experience, sklills and training Interview ASAP Good facilities I am currently recruiting for a large Pupil Referral Unit for male and female pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties at KS1, 2, 3 and 4. The school is located in between Crofton Park and Nunhead station in the London Borough of Southwark. The school are looking to appoint a Music TA to start in September with a permanent contract offered to the right candidate after Christmas. The role of a Music TA is to assist in music sessions across KS1 and 2. The role does not require a FQT teacher with QTS, however, experience teaching or supporting music in education or as a tutor is beneficial. A degree (or equivalent) is essential and experience working with students with SEMHD and SEN desirable and as long as you are confident in running intervention for students with a range of Special Needs. The school has a high focus on English and Maths and therefore uses a cross-curricular approach in order to engage their students. Music is one of the key areas that they focus on and alongside the Head of the Arts, you will be assisting with planning and implementing the Music curriculum across the whole school.
