This Niche Private Client firm currently has a vacancy for a paralegal in their Private Client team with working patterns between 8.45am and 5.15 pm The role will involve managing a caseload of files, to include: - In addition to supporting the fee earners in the department and being able to manage a file with supervision, you will also require the following ability: - Communicating on the telephone and corresponding with clients, beneficiaries, asset holders, HM Revenue & Customs, HMCTS and other third parties - Drafting legal documents - Preparing tax calculations and HMRC returns - Preparing accounts - Undertaking legal research, as required. - Working to strict deadlines and service level agreements using a case management system - Working proactively to conclude cases in a timely and sensitive manner - Working with Solicitors and Associates to develop and maintain effective client relationships - Managing own case load as well as supporting other fee earners - Advising on the law relating to wills, trusts, estates and tax - Drafting Wills - Lasting Powers of Attorneys - Knowledge of Court of Protection and Mental Capacity Act Experience of non-contentious probate work, in particular, estates administration, is advantageous. The role will involve communication with clients via the telephone and face to face contact, therefore inter-personal and listening skills are essential. The individual will also have sound organisational, written and time management skills as well as a good eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be an LPC graduate who has undertaken the private client elective, or holds similar academic achievement. You must hold a full licence and access to a car due to the nature of the role.
