Our retired professional client needs a Senior Administrator/ASSISTANT to help him manage his home office. Much of the work involves managing his mountain of paperwork and emails. Most of this relates to dealings with local and central government departments, local suppliers etc. Some of the work can be demanding as it requires good attention to detail within limited timescales. However, it can also be very rewarding as it enables the client to effectively manage their daily living. There is also scope to support the client with their varied leisure activities, such as days out. The excellent rate reflects the need for a highly skilled carer (Senior Administrator/Assistant) for this work. Typical Senior Administrator/Assistant duties cover: - Creating emails and letters to deal with local and central government agencies, local suppliers etc. - Maintaining accurate electronic records of contact with the organisations above - Filling in paper forms - Accurate paper and electronic filing, so that documents can be easily retrieved - General administration and ad-hoc duties - A small amount of driving to local shops and amenities The ideal Senior Administrator/Assistant applicant will have the following skills and experience: - Good English reading, writing and numeracy skills. A graduate is preferred, but not essential. - Good general MSOffice and IT skills - Current relevant experience. In particular, preference will be given to somebody who has current experience of working as a Senior Administrator/Assistant for an older client and dealing with this sort of administration. - Good general driving skills Standard hours are 6-8 per week, exact hours to be mutually agreed. The client is ideally looking for 2-3 sessions per week in the afternoons. There is scope for overtime. There is also scope to help with more general household support and days out. However, this work is entirely optional. The rate is excellent at up to £30 per hour for the right applicant. The client is offering an on-going contract, with a 3 month trial period.
