Cobham Mission Systems are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner. The position will provide HR support to a number specific functions including Programmes, Operations and BD/Sales within the Cobham Mission Systems Business Unit. You will be working with the leadership teams to ensure operational HR is delivered effectively and act as a deputy to the VP HR. You will also be responsible for supervising and developing two HR team members. This role is based in Wimborne, Dorset.As a Senior HR Business Partner your skills, qualifications and competencies will ideally include:Strong employee relations experience and a full understanding of current employment legislation.Experience of Strategic workforce planningChange management leadership across various change projectsSupervising and supporting development of HR Business partners and other junior HR team members.Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and emotional resilience along with the ability to work in complex, sometimes ambiguous environments serving multiple stakeholdersTeam playerExperience deputising for VP/Director level HRSound analytical skills; ability to work with data to provide meaningful management informationStrong Time Management and Priorities Management SkillsCIPD qualifiedAs a Senior HR Business Partner your main responsibilities will involve:Working with relevant stakeholders, support Strategic Workforce Planning within the BU. Ensure qualitative and quantative data is input into the process and that identified gaps are addressedManaging and developing two direct reports in the HR team, supporting prioritising of tasksAct as a change agent to support and facilitate desired changeProvide direct HR support to specific functions of the business to ensure that operational HR is delivered effectively. Proactively support the delivery of HR Processes at the siteDevelop and deploy the BU resource plans, working with the Cobham Resourcing Team to meet relevant requirements and personal involvement in appointmentsActively engage in the Cobham early career and high potential pipeline programmes, eg apprentice and graduate programmesDeploys talent and reward strategies by pulling upon the specialists within Cobham GroupWork with the leadership team and talent specialists to support talent management processes within the Business Unit, e,g. Succession Planning, Career Planning (aligned to functional councils) and the Cobham Development ProgrammesProactively provide HR advice and support to site management, supervisors and employees on a wide range of tactical and operational employee related issuesAdvise managers and employees on issues of employment legislationResponsibility for dealing with any tribunal claims that arise in close coordination with the VP HRProvide accurate HR data to the VP HRAct as a deputy to the VP HR and provide cover in there absenceManage day-to-day interactions with employees and relations with relevant groups.
