With the popularity and demand for high quality events to raise awareness and drive applications to the programmes across our student opportunities (schools and campus), an exciting opportunity has become oversee all aspects of event planning and management, including internal and external events, with the opportunity to plan and execute larger scale national events campaigns such as our autumn campus networking evenings and National Apprenticeship Week.The opportunityThe UK branding and attraction team at EY is responsible for recruitment marketing, employer branding, candidate attraction and promoting the firm's career opportunities across the UK and Ireland. This role offers the opportunity to develop and deliver events across the student market which are innovative, future-facing and help to bridge the skills gap between employers and education.Your key responsibilitiesAs the Student Events Planner you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of our student events across the UK. You will also be involved in the development of event materials, deliver briefings, and have responsibility for the project management of end-to-end on and offline communications, to attract 1500 school leavers, undergraduates and graduates to our student and work experience programmes.Skills and attributes for successWorking closely with the marketing managers and our creative agency, you'll be a part of the development for student events materials on and off line.Delivering our events portfolio across schools and campus, including skills sessions, digital content, virtual offering and integrated social campaigns across the academic year.Executing social media event strategy and content across our social platforms, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn. Look at ways to enhance our engagement and interaction across all platforms.You'll work with the attraction advisors in our team to deliver this work and ensure all student objectives are met, and thorough briefings are conducted.Work closely with the marketing and comms lead to ensure smooth deployment of campaigns internally across our D&I networks and all regional offices.Support on an ad hoc basis with PR campaigns to deliver events which land with impactMaintaining the News and Events sections of our careers websites and actively seek content to populate and showcase events delivered across student, on campus, in schools and in our UK offices which bring to life our employer brand.Robust review of events measuring attendance, candidate experience and return on investmentGathering and report regularly on industry event insight and competitor analysis to inform strategyWork collaboratively and inclusively with our Ireland, EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa) and our Financial Services teams to ensure sharing of content and an integrated approach for student events is in placeTo qualify for the role you must haveDemonstrable experience organising and delivering a high volume of events with expertise in delivering integrated campaigns across all channels, both offline and onlineExcellent and proven project management skills in a fast paced, deadline driven environmentExperience of planning and executing large scale eventsExperience successfully delivering campaigns against core objectivesRelationship management and experience of handling a varied stakeholder group including clients, external agencies and/or third party suppliersStrong communication (at all levels), interpersonal and people management skillsIdeally, you'll also haveYou will ideally be an experienced event planner with a passion for student recruitment (across schools and campus), a strong interest in people marketing and understanding of employer brand, with a desire to provide an exceptional candidate experience end-to-end. You will work closely with a number of stakeholders across our business so the ability to build strong and effective relationships, delivering against deadlines and managing expectations, will also be key. What we look forCommunication: Across all stakeholders - listening to their needs and presenting ideas and solutions. You will work with suppliers, contractors, student team members, facilities and many other parties at the same time. Customer service and interpersonal skills are required.Calm Under Pressure: Many things can go wrong during an event - the ability to remain calm during busy periods in the student recruitment calendar and the high pressure of an event in progress is needed.Digital/Social Skills: Future-thinking and digitally savvy event planners are confident in using digital platforms to communicate, plan, budget and execute events which are innovative, creative and aim to disrupt.Organization: Many things happen all at once when organising events, many of which will happen in quick succession/at the same time, in different locations. Our events planner will need to stay focused and organized so that each event is delivered to a high standard.Problem-Solving Skills: In a fast-paced, busy team like ours, being able to quickly solve any issues that might occur is required.
