Surveyor - Topographical£243 plus vehicle, excellent overtime and packageBased either in Birmingham/Crewe - UK wide travel within roleExperis are recruiting on behalf of our Client a leading Engineering Support Services organisation for an experienced Topographical Surveying professional to join their team in either Birmingham or Crewe to deliver a variety of surveying work packages throughout the UK.The main responsibilities for this role are as follows -All aspects of the technical delivery of individual survey projectsCarry out all site works in a safe and efficient mannerFoster a service culture with external and internal clients to promote, encourage and sustain businessRemain fully conversant with the latest technology and innovative working practices to enable the cost effective and efficient delivery of project/contract workAssist the Survey Manager in the mentoring of trainees and graduates in a manner which encourages and assists them to reach their potentialEnsure agreed performance and other KPI targets are metAssist in the preparation of cost effective contract submissions including method statementsKeep robust records of costs incurred and accrued on all projects under your control and prepare accounts for submission to the Survey ManagerTravel UK wide as required so regular overnight stays away from base location - including some nightshift and weekend workingThe successful candidate will display the following skills and experience -Degree qualified or HND/HNC with experience in a topographical surveying roleFully conversant with all aspects of topographical surveying, including the use of the latest Total Stations, data collection of both static and RTK GPS surveys, Route clearance surveys, deformation surveys, elevation surveysMust have a sound understanding of the OS active network, the benefits and uses it presentsBe able to demonstrate a sound understanding of data processing strategies using an industry recognised data processing packageExperience of managing smaller contracts and supervision of junior staff on sitePTS or ability to gain PTSIT LiterateUK Drivers LicenceFlexible - must be prepared to spend time away from home base - including occasional nightshift and weekend workingThis is a varied surveying role with a leading FTSE100 Engineering business, covering a variety of sectors.
